Kaifeng Bell Stainless Steel Ball Manufacture Co.,Ltd often produce high precision G0 G1 G2 1mm to 200mm solid and hollow Ptfe Teflon Ball .

Today we will let you know our factory how to produce Teflon Ball .

The production process of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) plastic balls is mainly based on its cold pressing and sintering molding process, which is suitable for refractory and high viscosity polymer materials :

Core production process:

1. Raw material preparation

Use suspended or dispersed PTFE resin powder.
Suspended resin particles are relatively large (usually 50-200 μ m), suitable for thick walled products with high density requirements; Dispersed resin particles are finer, suitable for complex or thin-walled structures.
If performance enhancement is required (such as wear resistance and compression resistance), fillers such as glass fiber and bronze powder can be added

2. Cold pressed billet (preform)

Load PTFE powder into a spherical mold.
Apply high pressure (usually 30-50 MPa) at room temperature and press it into a dense spherical body
At this stage, attention should be paid to uniform feeding, slow pressurization, and multiple exhausts to avoid bubbles, cracks, or uneven density

3. Sintering

Place the cold pressed body into the sintering furnace and heat it to 360-380 ℃ (327 ℃ higher than the melting point of PTFE).
Keep warm for a period of time (such as 1-4 hours) to melt, diffuse, and fuse the particles, forming a continuous dense structure

Adopting a stepped heating curve can effectively reduce internal stress and improve product uniformity .

4.Cooling

Control the cooling rate (usually slow cooling) to regulate crystallinity and avoid deformation or cracking caused by rapid shrinkage
Slow cooling is beneficial for improving crystallinity (up to 92% -98%), thereby enhancing mechanical and chemical properties

5. Post processing (optional)

Perform turning, polishing, or dimensional inspection on the sintered PTFE balls to meet high-precision requirements.
If used for special occasions (such as sealing, bonding), surface modification (such as plasma treatment, laser treatment) can be carried out to improve surface energy
