1. Extremely high dimensional accuracy and true roundness

  • Diameter deviation (Dw): Usually controlled at the micron (μm) or even sub-micron level
  • True roundness (sphere deviation): Refers to the maximum deviation of the surface from the ideal spherical surface. The true roundness of high-precision balls is extremely low, also at the sub-micron level. This ensures smooth movement and minimal vibration.


2. Extremely low surface roughness

The surface is precisely polished, as smooth as a mirror, with a roughness (Ra value) extremely low (usually less than 0.02 μm). This directly leads to:

  • Extremely low friction coefficient: reducing motion resistance and energy loss.
  • Excellent wear resistance: The smooth surface reduces stress concentration and wear initiation points.
  • High operating stability: Avoiding vibration and noise caused by uneven surfaces.


3. Outstanding mechanical properties (inheritance and optimization)

  • High hardness (HV > 1200): Provides excellent wear resistance and extremely long service life.
  • High strength and high toughness: Thanks to the phase transformation toughening effect of zirconia, its fracture toughness is much higher than other ceramics (such as alumina), has strong impact resistance, and is not prone to breakage even at high speeds and high loads.
  • High elastic modulus: High rigidity, small deformation under pressure, and can maintain precise motion trajectories.


4. Excellent chemical stability

  • Corrosion-resistant, acid and alkali-resistant, oxidation-resistant, and can work stably in harsh chemical environments, without rusting or deterioration.


5. Special physical properties

  • Electrical insulation: Non-conductive, suitable for insulation requirements.
  • Non-magnetic: Does not generate a magnetic field and is not affected by magnetic fields.
  • Low density (about 45% of steel): Density is approximately 6, low centrifugal force generated during high-speed operation, conducive to increasing the limit speed and reducing wear on the bearing housing.
  • Low thermal expansion coefficient: Small size change with temperature, maintaining stability of accuracy in a wide temperature range.
