(1) Optical Performance

Transmittance: The transmittance of high-quality glass spheres can reach over 90%, approaching colorless transparency, suitable for optical experiments or decorative lighting.
Refractive Index: The refractive index of ordinary sodium calcium glass is approximately 1.5, suitable for simple refraction experiments or as a substitute for lenses.

Hardness: Mohs hardness is approximately 5-6, resistant to scratching but fragile, avoid collisions.
Temperature Resistance: Can withstand instantaneous temperature changes of -30°C to 400°C (specifically depending on the type of glass), but rapid cooling or heating may cause cracking.
Density: The density of ordinary glass is approximately 2.5 g/cm³, with a moderate weight.
